SMS Advertisements run during OSD phase

Hi All,

We have SMS 2003 and BBD 2007 using ZTI. All working fine. However we
have noticed that sms advertisements are being run during OSD.

For example our Software Update packages advertisement which has not
been added to any of the ZTI roles/TS will run during the post-install
phase with all the other packages we have in our defined roles.

Does anyone know how to stop this behaviour so that any packages/
advertisements defined in SMS will only run once the machine has been
fully built ?

Hi,

Just add a task sequence which will stop sms client "net stop ccmexec", (or
even better set this service to manual) after running all osd tasks make a
final task which will start it again.
