PCI driver missing in MDT 2008

We just got in new workstations, HP dc7900 convertible mini-tower and I am
seeing an issue I haven’t seen previously.

I am using Microsoft MDT 2008 to image our workstations before deploying
them and I have all other images working very nicely. But when I try to PXE
boot the dc7900 into WinPE, I get the following error:

The following networking device did not have a driver installed:
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_10DE&SUBSYS_3035103C&REV_02

I’ve read the similar posts and have added the following to the out of box
drivers on my server and believe that the following driver is the one
requested
INTEL(R) 82567LM-3 GIGABIT NETWORK CONNECTION

I’ve also added the following ones from the HP download site just in case.
LMS_AMT_ALLOS_5.0.3.1126_PV
MEI_AMT_ALLOS_5.0.3.1126_PV
INTEL(R) 82567LM-3 GIGABIT NETWORK CONNECTION

I’ve rebuilt the Boot image and still get the same error. Am I missing
something?

Any ideas?
Thanks

I would install the driver on a machine and look at the setupapi.log.
Document the PnP ID of the correct driver that worked. Then use potentially
use drvload.exe to load that driver real time in WinPE, see if you get
networking. Once we have that, ensure that driver is in out-of-box drivers
and compile boot.wim, replace the boot.wim in WDS with the new one. MDT
does not do that for you.

Dave,
Thanks for your post, but could you clarify a few items for me. I am not
completely familiar with some of the terms you used.
For example:
setupapi.log - Is that on the client machine I am trying to install? I get a
blue screen just trying to install WinXP SP3 CD. i've heard that I may need
to insert a floppy with Intel Controller drivers in it to get past this
error...Oh joy! Floppy's in 2009, what will HP think of next.

If I do get a plain image installed, where do I look for the log file and
what is drvload.exe? I've never used that. Is there some documentation I can
read that will explain how to go about using this? The rest of your post I
think I have.

thanks again.
Steve
