Hello,
I've been working with mdt 2008 for a while now, but have only been using it
to deploy server 2003. Now I'm going to use for deploying server 2008. I
know the setup process changed a lot from 2003 to 2008.
in mdt 2008 task sequence properties, for a server 2008 build, on the 'os
info' tab, there is only the 'edit unattended.xml' button where for 2003
build there are options to edit both sysprep.inf and unattend.txt.... so for
2003 builds I would make sure all the right components get installed using
unattend.txt (like IIS, asp etc...), put the necessary stuff in sysprep.inf
to automate mini-setup, and then use scripting to automate post image
deployment configurations.
So how is this handled for 2008? Does unattend.xml handle both the
unattended build *and* the automation of mini-setup after sysprep?
