Hi,

I am using MDT Deployment Workbench to deploy Vista Business Edition to
a targeted Computer. My plan is to deploy Vista, Service Pack 1 together
by using Task Sequencer. In the property of Task Sequencer, I
specified "Vista_SP1" for Apply Patches. This is the patch group I
created for Vista SP1.

While I was deploying this Task, I ran into a problem and the
installation stopped. Here is the error message:

"Windows could not apply unattended setting during pass(null)
Setup failed to apply image //PCS07/Distribution/Operating
Systems/Windows Vista/sources/install.wim. rc = 31,
ZTIError: none-zero return cold by LTIApply rc31
None-Zero return code executing command:
X:\deploy\tools\x86\TSmbootstrapt.exe” env: SAStart, rc=-2147467259"

But when I deploy the Vista OS by itself, it works fine. No problems at
all.

Thanks

Have you tried using Vista Business with SP1? It's available from the
volume licensing download site.

Thanks for you advice, VicenV.

We can install "Vista with SP1".

But I am wondering what is the proper way to deploy the service packs by
using MDT Workbench. I follow the Microsoft MDT documentations but still
get this error message.

Thanks

I presume you are talking about Integrating a service pack into the XP source
files not an admin install, or is this something new.
